Like most churches, your people are coming back. SLOWLY. But not everyone. A few new people have arrived too.
You have gotten better at it, but you are tired of recording or streaming your services for a handful of people.
Sound familiar? Do you stop? Do you continue?
Whatever your current reality, reaching people you are not reaching now will require new approaches.
I am convinced that DIGITAL MINISTRY is one such approach.
If you believe that disciples can ONLY be made after someone visits your church in person, then DIGITAL MINISTRY is not for you.
However, if you desperately want to reach people for Christ, before they can be with you in person, then DIGITAL MINISTRY is the answer.
Digital Ministry is not about better video quality for your livestream.
Digital Ministry is not about filling the room with more people on the weekend.
Digital Ministry is about helping more people find and follow Jesus.
Digital Ministry is about building connections that lead to conversations, that allow the Gospel to penetrate their life.
Digital Ministry starts this journey online. It starts where people are. It doesn’t require ‘them’ to come to ‘you’, but helps you go to them.
In the Gospel of John chapter 21, the resurrected Jesus has the following exchange with his disciples:
5 Jesus said to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him, “No.” 6 He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.”
If you are pulling in less fish than before, maybe it’s time to adjust your nets too.
With so many un-reached ‘fish’ out in your community, the time has come
to cast our net on the ‘right’ of the boat, which every fisherman knows in the side the fish are on.
Happy fishing!
